Welcome, Peter Hoey – Our New Funding and Impact Manager

We are thrilled to welcome Peter Hoey to our team as our new Funding and Impact Manager!

Peter recently joined us for a visit to the Denby Dale visual impairment support group, where he met members over a warm cuppa at Gordon and Frank’s Coffee House. It was a lovely opportunity to connect with the community we serve—and a perfect introduction to our work. ☕

Peter brings a wealth of experience from his background in social care, having worked as a social worker and previously with the Halifax Blind Society. His deep understanding of the sector, combined with his passion for meaningful impact, makes him a fantastic addition to our team.

What’s more, Peter lives with a visual impairment himself—bringing invaluable lived experience that will help shape our services with even greater empathy and insight.

We are so excited to have his expertise on board and look forward to sharing the positive changes ahead.
