Outlookers Champions Accessible Public Transportation: Member Engagement Opportunities at Huddersfield and Dewsbury Bus Stations
Outlookers, a leading organization dedicated to supporting the visually impaired community, is proud to announce two upcoming events aimed at fostering greater accessibility and inclusivity within public transportation. Our members will have the opportunity to collaborate with local officials and share valuable insights to enhance the overall commuting experience for individuals with visual impairments.
Huddersfield Bus Station Accessibility Walkthrough
On August 22nd from 9:30-10:30 AM, Outlookers members are invited to join representatives from Kirklees Council at the Huddersfield Bus Station for an accessibility walkthrough. We will gather at the main entrance in Macaulay Square, where participants will have the chance to discuss their experiences navigating the station and provide feedback on potential improvements. By working together, we can help create a more inclusive and accessible environment for all commuters.
Dewsbury Bus Station Update with Kit from Metro
In addition to the Huddersfield event, Outlookers is thrilled to host an exclusive walkthrough of the ongoing Dewsbury Bus Station developments on August 14th at 12:10 pm. Kit from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (Metro) will guide us through the latest updates, offering an insider’s perspective on the project’s progress.
Member participation and feedback are vital to ensure the new facilities meet the needs of the visually impaired community. Let’s continue working together to enhance accessibility and member engagement.
As a community, we have the power to drive positive change and make public transportation more accessible for everyone. We encourage all members to join us at these upcoming events and share their valuable insights. Together, we can create a more inclusive and accessible environment for all commuters.
