Living Well with Sight Loss Course Returns This Autumn

Are you living with sight loss, supporting someone who is, or looking to learn more about the services and support available? Outlookers is delighted to be hosting our popular Living Well with Sight Loss Course once again this autumn.

This informative and friendly two-part course provides a whistle-stop tour of everything visual impairment related, helping people gain practical knowledge, confidence and access to valuable support networks.

What Will the Course Cover?

The course explores a wide range of topics designed to help people live independently and confidently with sight loss, including:

  • Assistive technology and accessible devices
  • Daily living skills and practical tips
  • Mobility and getting around safely
  • Well-being and emotional support
  • Eye health information
  • Rights, information, support and entitlements
  • Guest presentations from organisations and professionals working across the visual impairment sector

Whether you are newly diagnosed, have been living with sight loss for some time, or are supporting a family member or friend, the course offers useful information and opportunities to connect with others who share similar experiences.

Huddersfield Course

Dates: Tuesday 6 October and Tuesday 13 October
Time: 10.00am to 2.00pm
Venue: Outlookers Office, Brian Jackson House, Huddersfield

Batley Course

Dates: Monday 5 October and Monday 12 October
Time: 10.00am to 2.00pm
Venue: Outlookers Sight Loss Centre, The Whitfield Centre, Batley

Places are limited and booking is absolutely essential. Previous courses have proved extremely popular and we expect places to be filled quickly.
