As Trustees’ Week arrives, we are proud to shine a spotlight on the incredible individuals who guide and support Outlookers behind the scenes—our trustees. Their dedication, skills and passion are the foundation of this charity and everything we do to support people with sight loss across Kirklees.

 At Outlookers, our trustees help shape our strategy, ensure we remain financially sound and uphold the values that make our charity a trusted and empowering space for visually impaired people. Together the team bring a wealth of lived experience, professional expertise and local knowledge, making our governance stronger and our decisions more informed.

The team are responsible for steering our long-term vision, ensuring our services are inclusive, impactful, and sustainable, providing oversight and accountability, supporting our staff with guidance and encouragement and advocating for the needs of our community. Their leadership ensures Outlookers continues to grow and adapt while staying true to our original vision of providing a safe space for this community to share with others their sight loss journey.
